Last week, we held a special Powerlynx Overview Webinar to demonstrate how our software helps ISPs and MSPs simplify Wi-Fi connectivity, expand product portfolio, and grow revenue.
Over 100 service providers have joined us in just nine months since the project launched at the beginning of the year. This webinar focuses on the main Powerlynx functionality, a fully cloud-based platform that handles all tasks, including configuring, managing, and monitoring Wi-Fi network deployments from the cloud. It also shows real-world examples of ISPs successfully scaling their Wi-Fi networks. Part of this webinar was an interactive Q&A with Alex Vishnyakov, CEO & Co-Founder of Splynx.

Q: Is there a way to check if the voucher has been used? We are receiving many voucher returns from clients claiming that they are not working, and we can’t trace them.
A: Yes, you can check the voucher status in the system by searching for details such as the voucher code in the Voucher/List section. The statuses include New, Active, Expired, Online, Used, and Disabled.
Q: Is it computable with Reyee?
A: Yes — hotspot controller is used as Mikrotik, and AP can be any vendor.
Q: Can I also disable/enable a voucher I generated?
A: Yes.
Q: How will the distribution of Powerlynx without your URL work?
A: The idea is still being developed. More details will follow soon.
Q: Will support be added for devices that do not support the Captive portal, such as smart TVs?
A: There is no solution for now. It would be good to add this as a feature request so we can investigate how to accomplish it.
Q: Are there more payment options in the pipeline for South Africa?
A: For now we have Netcash and Payfast which cover many different payment gateways between them – any other gateways can be requested via the feature request website.
Q: Please try blue voucher more in townships they sell that.
A: That’s a good idea. We will definitely look into this.
Q: Can you interject ads and videos at any time in the user session?
A: Currently, it is only during sign-up. This functionality will be available with the upcoming enhancement of the Ads module.
Q: Can we have ads as background on the Splash page?
A: The splash page editor (which will allow users to fully customize the splash page) will be ready in January 2025.
Q: Can the number of devices connected to a particular account be controlled?
A: Yes, there’s an option for the number of simultaneous devices on the data plan.
Q: In the future, can we have a referral program at Powerlynx?
A: Yes, we’ll announce the referral program for Powerlynx soon.
Q: Please let me know if we can interject ads at any point during user sessions.
A: Not now. Currently, only during the sign-up. This feature will be available with our new updated ad module, which is in the roadmap now.
Q: What will the cost be for the white-label solution?
A: We will provide all the details together with our reseller/distribution program.
Q: Has Powerlynx been deployed in the hospitality industry yet?
A: Yes, it’s been deployed in coffee shops and can be deployed in any other hospitality environment.
Q: Will it be possible to add Google O-Auth as a form of authentication to allow users to sign on to the Wi-Fi?
A: Yes, it is possible. We’ll add this functionality along with social login later.
Q: Is this service cloud-based?
A: Yes, it’s cloud-based.
Q: Can we have Admin and read-only users as Splynx works?
A: Not now. We have many requests of this kind, and we’ll deliver them soon.
Q: Are there any future developments to integrate with Ruijie Networks?
A: No plans for now.
Q: Can a client get reconnection using OTP after registering, not just a number?
A: Next time, when they connect and MAC is the same as the first time, we simply show the select plan page and do not ask for a phone number again.
Q: What is the maximum number of simultaneous users connected?
A: For now, limits are not set as the hardware scales as the load increases.
Q: Do you plan to have the radius settings preloaded into the Teltonika Routers?
A: Yes, a bit later.
Q: Can we be able to block sites on Powerlynx, like at the school block plan?
A: For now: no. They can do it on their routers in the firewall.
Q: I noticed Safaricom as one of the payment options. If needed, can other mobile money options apply, like MTN?
A: You can leave your request here, in case we get support for it, we’ll deliver the integration. All payment system integrations depend on the market requirements.
Q: Is it possible to integrate this service with MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money for payments?

Q: Subscription plans we expect to be flexible per device and per number of users; how do you say this?
A: Data plans are flexible per the number of users. Please send us a request with your exact requirements.
