Challenges
Common ISP Wi-Fi Challenges
01
Difficult hotspot management across multiple locations
Managing hundreds of hotspots across different locations becomes time-consuming and difficult to scale.
02
Limited Wi-Fi monetization options
Many ISPs offer hotspot access but lack flexible ways to monetize through payments, vouchers, sponsored access, or advertising.
03
Manual user and voucher management
Creating, distributing, and tracking Wi-Fi access vouchers manually increases operational workload and limits visibility.
04
No marketing and customer engagement tools
ISPs have no direct channel to promote services, packages, upgrades, and partner offers to hotspot users.

Does Powerlynx support RADIUS authentication for ISP subscriber billing?
Yes. Powerlynx integrates with standard RADIUS servers using PAP/CHAP authentication. Your existing NAS hardware (MikroTik, Cisco, or similar) sends authentication requests to your RADIUS server, which Powerlynx is compatible with. This means subscribers are authenticated against your existing billing database – Powerlynx adds the captive portal and payment layer on top.
Can ISPs white-label Powerlynx and resell it to their clients?
Yes. Powerlynx supports full white-labeling: ISPs can configure a custom portal domain, upload client logos, set brand colors, and remove all Powerlynx attribution. Each client venue in the operator dashboard gets its own independent branded portal. The ISP manages all client portals from their single operator account and sets pricing and plans per client independently.
How does voucher distribution work for ISPs with agent networks?
The ISP generates voucher batches in the Powerlynx dashboard, setting denomination (data quota, speed, validity) and quantity. The batch is exported as a CSV or printed PDF. Agent resellers receive voucher code sheets and sell or distribute them to end users. Customers redeem codes at the captive portal. The ISP monitors redemption rates, active sessions, and expiry from the central dashboard.
What is the pricing model for ISPs managing multiple client locations?
Powerlynx charges $100/month per 400 concurrent online users – not per location or per access point. This means an ISP managing 20 venue clients can run the entire network for the cost of the concurrent user count, not per-site fees. There is no limit on the number of locations, clients, or APs on a Powerlynx account.
Does Powerlynx support municipal public Wi-Fi deployments?
Yes. Powerlynx is used by ISPs and operators managing public Wi-Fi in municipal environments: town centres, parks, transport hubs, and community spaces. The captive portal supports terms-of-service acceptance, registration flows, and custom branding for the commissioning authority. Usage data and uptime metrics are reportable for SLA compliance.
