Connect Teltonika LTE routers to Powerlynx via RADIUS over WireGuard or Public IP

How it works

Teltonika routers connect to Powerlynx via the built-in Hotspot package, which must be installed separately through the RutOS Package Manager under System / Package Manager / Packages. The router must also be on the latest available firmware before setup.

Once the Hotspot package is installed, the connection type is selected in Powerlynx: WireGuard (recommended) or Public IP. For WireGuard, keys are generated in Powerlynx, a WireGuard interface is created on the Teltonika device under Services / VPN / WireGuard, and the Persistent Keepalive is set to a value between 5 and 15 with endpoint port 443.

The hotspot is configured under Services / Hotspot / General. Authentication mode is set to Radius, Landing page to External, pointing to your Powerlynx redirect-flow URL. Under the Radius tab, the RADIUS server is set to 172.16.0.1, and a unique NAS Identifier is set — this value must match the SSIDs field in both the location and splash page in Powerlynx. The CoA (Change of Authorization) port is enabled via CLI using the chilli commands provided in the documentation.

Walled Garden entries are added in the hotspot settings. Note: Teltonika does not support wildcards in Walled Garden — each domain must be entered individually.
