Accept cash PIN payments at your captive portal via OTT Voucher
Cash-to-PIN voucher payment at the captive portal. Users redeem a retail-purchased PIN for Wi-Fi access. Testing environment supported.
How it works
OTT Voucher is a prepaid digital payment voucher that converts cash into a PIN code. Users purchase a voucher at a retail store and enter the PIN at the Powerlynx captive portal to pay for Wi-Fi access. The flow is the same as 1Voucher, the difference is the merchant network and credentials.
OTT requires a dedicated merchant account and four API credentials: API Username, API Password, API Key, and Vendor ID — all provided by OTT after account setup. To connect, navigate to Config / Finance / Payment Gateways / OTT in Powerlynx and enter all four values. The country must be set to South Africa under Config / System / Localization.
A Testing environment is available — use “Testing” in the Environment field to validate the full integration before switching to Production.
What this integration provides
- Cash-to-PIN redemption at the captive portal — no card or bank account required.
- Testing environment for pre-launch validation.
- Per-location OTT account configuration — different accounts per hotspot location.
- Payments tracked under Finance / Payments in Powerlynx.
- South Africa only.
Credentials required
API Username, API Password, API Key, Vendor ID — all from your OTT merchant account. Environment: Testing or Production.
Who uses this
South African operators whose preferred retail voucher partner is OTT rather than 1Voucher — township ISPs and community hotspot networks where users already use OTT vouchers for other prepaid services.
Requirements
- OTT Voucher merchant account.
- All four credentials from OTT.
