Turn your Wi-Fi hotspot customers into HubSpot contacts

Sync the customers who connect to your Powerlynx hotspot into HubSpot as marketing contacts, so you can follow up with offers, newsletters, and campaigns.

How it works

Every splash-page sign-up is a lead you’re already paying to capture. This integration connects your HubSpot account to Powerlynx and pushes those hotspot customers in as contacts, so your Wi-Fi network doubles as a lead source for HubSpot campaigns instead of a one-time login screen.

Powerlynx stays the system of record — HubSpot only ever receives a copy. Connect an account, pick which customer fields land on which HubSpot properties, and press one button to push customers across. Setup, mapping, and monitoring each live under their own tab in Config → Integrations → HubSpot.

Today the sync runs on demand — click “Sync now” whenever you want to push customers across. There’s no automatic background sync yet, but the integration always shows you who’s out of date so you know when a run is worth doing.

Field mapping and sync status

Map any Powerlynx customer field (built-in or custom) to a HubSpot contact property, or leave it blank to skip it.

Email is the one field you can’t remap: it’s locked to HubSpot’s email property, because that’s how HubSpot recognizes an existing contact instead of creating a duplicate. A live status per customer (Synced, Needs update, Not synced, Outdated, Error, Duplicate, or No email) tells you exactly who the next sync run will touch before you click it.

What this integration provides

  • Sync summary shows counts of contacts to be created, updated, already synced, and unable to sync (no email) before each run.
  • Failed contacts retried automatically on the next sync.
  • Customers sharing an email address with an already-synced contact are marked Duplicate and skipped.
  • Field mapping dropdowns load available HubSpot properties live from your account.
  • Customer names in the sync table link to their profile in Powerlynx.
  • HubSpot Service Key stored encrypted and removable anytime via Disconnect.

Credentials required

A HubSpot Service Key (private access token, format pat-…) created in HubSpot under Development → Keys → Service keys → Create, with these scopes: crm.objects.contacts.read, crm.objects.contacts.write, crm.schemas.contacts.read, and optionally crm.schemas.contacts.write.

Who uses this

Wi-Fi hotspot operators and ISPs who run HubSpot as their CRM and want to turn splash-page sign-ups into a marketing list, running offers, newsletters, and campaigns to the same customers they already serve Wi-Fi to, without re-entering any data.

Requirements

  • A HubSpot account with permission to create a Service Key.
  • Service Key with contacts read/write scopes.
  • Customers need an email address in Powerlynx to be synced — customers without one are marked “No email” and skipped.
